Premium Nylon Cable Glands: Sizes & Dimensions
Premium PA66 nylon cable glands use upgraded materials for better mechanical performance and longer service life than the Standard series under comparable conditions. Available with PG, Metric and NPT threads, they are supplied with a locknut, high-quality NBR sealing insert and NBR flat gasket as standard for IP68 installation. Match the cable outside diameter and enclosure thread to the size chart before ordering.

- UL status: Premium and UL Recognized nylon are separate series. Premium is not covered by the UL series recognition.
PG and Metric Cable Gland Size Selection
The tables cover PG7–PG48 and M12–M63 models. Models with the same thread can have different cable ranges: CHSO-P-PG7S accepts 3–6.5 mm cable, while CHSO-P-PG7 accepts 4–8 mm. Use the actual cable jacket diameter to select the model.
NPT versions are also available; contact us for the corresponding size chart. Thread O.D. is the thread outside diameter, not the required panel cutout size.

Application Fields – Premium Cable Glands
Premium nylon cable glands are used where a sealed cable entry and reliable strain relief are needed. Select the thread, cable clamping range and sealing configuration for the enclosure and operating conditions.
Electrical cabinets and control panels
Route power and control cables through enclosure walls while maintaining the specified seal. Match the gland thread to the panel opening and the insert to the cable diameter.
Solar and renewable energy equipment
Use the appropriate premium model for cable entry into outdoor enclosures. Confirm the selected model’s IP68 installation conditions and the cable jacket diameter.
Rail and transportation equipment
Choose a gland and installation method suited to cable movement, vibration and the enclosure environment. Verify the equipment requirements for the project.
Industrial automation and machinery
Protect cable entries on control cabinets and machinery. Check the clamping range and provide strain relief appropriate to the installation.
Premium vs Standard Nylon Cable Glands
Corresponding Premium and standard models have the same cable clamping range. Premium bodies are slightly larger and use thicker material. Allow for the larger body when checking clearance between cable entries and space around the enclosure.
Standard nylon glands provide IP55 without a flat gasket, or IP68 with the specified flat gasket, sealing insert and correct installation. Premium uses upgraded materials for better mechanical performance and longer service life under comparable conditions, and includes an NBR flat gasket as standard for IP68 installation. The cable range alone does not establish dimensional interchangeability.

Check the Drawing Before Installation
Contact us for the Premium drawing and a dimensional comparison with the standard model. Compare the body diameter, overall height, thread length and spanner size with your available space.
For an unthreaded enclosure opening, check the specified hole size, wall thickness and space for the supplied locknut. For a threaded opening, match the thread type, size and pitch. Follow the model’s installation instructions when tightening the gland and sealing the enclosure interface.
Technical Documents for Your Project
Tell us the model or thread size when requesting drawings and technical data. For outdoor use, elevated temperatures or vibration, share the operating conditions so the relevant material and installation requirements can be checked.
If you need a RoHS report for the Premium raw material, request the applicable report. A raw-material report describes its covered material; it should not be treated as certification of the complete assembly.
If your project requires UL Recognized components, select the separate UL nylon range and request coverage for the exact model.

Can I mix sizes in one enquiry?
Yes. List each thread size, cable diameter and quantity, or send your specification sheet. You can also describe the application and ask us to help select the models.
What if the cable diameter is near a range limit?
Provide the measured outside diameter and the cable manufacturer’s tolerance. This helps us check the fit before you order.
Can I request my own packaging or branding?
Send your logo, marking and packaging requirements with the enquiry. We will review the request and confirm the available options in the quotation.
