Spiral Strain Relief Cable Glands in Nylon & Nickel-Plated Brass
CHSO spiral strain relief cable glands support cables at moving or vibrating entry points. Choose PA66 nylon or nickel-plated brass and match the thread, cable diameter and sealing configuration.
- Material options: PA66 nylon or nickel-plated brass, with a brass anti-bending section on the metal version.
- Thread options: PG and Metric. Nylon sizes include PG7–PG21 and M12×1.5–M27×1.5; see the separate tables for each material.
- IP68 configuration: Nylon with an optional flat sealing washer; brass with its standard O-ring, when correctly installed.
- Application options: Both versions provide anti-bending and vibration-resistant support. Black nylon is UV-resistant.
- Order options: 15 mm mounting threads, samples and custom packaging are available.
How to Select a Spiral Cable Gland
Start with the cable outside diameter and the enclosure thread. Select the material, then choose the matching cable range and mounting thread length from its table. Nylon and brass dimensions differ, so do not transfer a size from one table to the other.
The extended anti-bending section supports the cable where it leaves the gland. Both versions are intended for applications involving cable movement or vibration. Check the cable manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and the space available for cable movement; the gland does not establish a universal safe bend radius.
For an unthreaded panel, provide the panel thickness and cutout drawing. For a threaded entry, provide the thread designation and available engagement depth. A 15 mm mounting thread option is available; include this requirement separately from the standard table dimensions.
PA66 Nylon Sizes & Dimensions
PA66 nylon spiral strain relief cable glands. Each A/B reference identifies a separate cable range; specify the complete reference and quantity when requesting a quote. All dimensions are in mm.

Select the cable range using the actual outside diameter of the cable, including its tolerance. Thread OD is not a panel-cutout specification. For IP68 installation, include the optional flat sealing washer in the enquiry.

H excludes the mounting thread length (GL). Match the complete row, including cable range, GL and spanner size, when requesting a quote. Supply a panel or mating-thread drawing for installation-fit checks.

Sealing Configuration & IP68
PA66 nylon: The flat sealing washer is optional. Include it when ordering the IP68 configuration.
Nickel-plated brass: The O-ring is supplied as standard for IP68 installation.
Use the specified cable range and the correct panel sealing part, with the gland correctly assembled and tightened. IP68 documentation is available on request for the selected product and configuration.
Installation & Moving-Cable Checks
Both nylon and brass anti-bending glands support applications involving dynamic cable bending or vibration. Choose a cable rated for the intended movement and keep its minimum bend radius within the equipment design limits.
Check clearance around the extended anti-bending section, cable routing and the mounting interface before ordering. Provide the movement pattern, cable outside diameter, panel drawing and environment if assistance is needed.
